Sublimation
What is sublimation?
Sublimation is the process of inks changing into gas when activated by heat; this then gives the ink the ability to bond with both polyester and acrylic surfaces.
How does sublimation work?
Sublimation uses a patented heat transfer process that employs special heat sensitive inks or toners to permanently dye polymer-coated surfaces. The resulting transfer sheet can be applied to a variety of surfaces with a standard heat press.
Why Choose Sublimation?
Because special transfer inks or toners are used to transfer below the surface of a substrate, the process is permanent and therefore will not peel, crack, or fade away. Sublimation transfers also offer a rich level of color and liveliness. Sublimated images can be washed and are both scratch resistant and dishwasher safe.
